:: Chola Baskets

Birthdays are fun.

Birthdays can be expensive.  I bought some Baskets from Targét and I planned on lacing them up but then realized that buying plain baskets 2.5hrs before leaving to Sacramento for the festivities isn't gonna do it.

In between packing my things and cleaning, I glue gunned some ribbon on the top of the baskets and on some glue gunned wooden flower circle thingys as accents to hide where the ribbon was cut on the sides.

Then I painted the letters and added accents (I got the letters from the dollar store). Glue gunned those mofos onto the baskets.

For my Aunt Elva, I had to updo her's a notch.  So I cut out a Mexican Postcard and because it was a postcard it was stiff and the basket is round.  I wet it under warm water and bended it but not too much, then before it could set.....I glue gunned it to her basket and it stuckk.  I also added Calalillies for a special touch

I placed leftover tissue paper from Victoria Secret inside and filled it with a pair of socks (on sale at Target) along with Bath and Body Works lotions, shower gel and anti-bacterial items.

:: Kids Mural

This is my first time painting on a wall.

My friend projected the images she wanted and outlined it.

I had to erase some lines because the paint would smear the pencil marks.  Came out cool huh? Some of the kids shirts say Hope, Love, Joy, and Peace.
